As the title of this software suggests, MP3 Editor allows you to edit your audio tracks with the MP3 extension.
The interface of the program is clean and easy to navigate through. Audio tracks can be imported via the file browser or "drag and drop" method.
In addition, you can load a CD, import from video, as well as download clips from YouTube and convert them to the MP3 format.
So, you can apply various audio effects, such as echo, vibrato, amplify, fade in and out, normalize, envelope, compressor, chorus, flanger, phaser, reverb, speed and pitch change, notch filter, low and high pass, reverse and invert.
On top of that, you can reduce noise, cassette noise and voice breath, set bookmarks, crop a selection, trim the clip, insert silence, mix the file with another one, use the undo and redo functions, edit ID3 tags, analyze the frequency, use a text-to-speech and batch conversion tool, merge audio files and rip CDs, and more.
The audio editing tool takes up a low-to-moderate amount of CPU and system memory, includes a well-written help file (too bad it contains few snapshots), has a very good response time and didn't cause us any difficulties during our tests.
On the other hand, MP3 Editor comes with minor downsides, since it incorporates so many functions. For example, we we unable to download clips from YouTube (although the tool informed us that the task was a success) and MP3 Editor froze when we tried loading music from a CD once (we were forced to restart the application). Nevertheless, we strongly recommend MP3 Editor to all users, regardless of their experience level.
