As the name of this software suggests, 4Media DPG Converter allows you to encode media files to the DPG format supported by Nintendo DS, but also to MP2 and MP3.
The interface of the application is clean and intuitive. Media files can be imported into the list by using either the file browser, treeview or "drag and drop" method. Batch processing is allowed.
In the queue you can read the name, duration, output profile and size, along with status of each file. So, all you have to do is establish the output directory and format, in order to proceed with the conversion task.
Furthermore, you can configure audio and video settings when it comes to the quality, codec, size, bit rate, frame rate, aspect ratio, encode mode, sample frequency rate, channel mode, volume and others.
Additionally, you can preview clips in a small, built-in media player and take snapshots, split videos by time or size, customize the CPU core number in processing, set post-task actions (e.g. hibernate computer), enable 4Media DPG Converter to run in the background in low priority mode, hide unidentifiable items from the list, edit audio metadata (e.g. title, copyright, album), and others.
The media conversion program takes up a pretty high amount of system resources, has a good response time, quickly finishes a task and manages to preserve a good image and sound quality. You can also look into a brief help file for novices. There haven't been any problems during our testing and we highly recommend 4Media DPG Converter to all user levels.
