Alive Video Joiner is a program with a pretty self-explanatory title - it allows you to join video files of various formats (e.g. MPG, AVI, MOV, WMV) and convert them to MPEG, AVI, RM and WMV.

The interface of the software is a bit outdated. Alive Video Joiner clearly needs some improvements from this point of view.

Videos can be imported into the queue via the file browser only, since the "drag an drop" method is not supported.

In the list you can check out the name, size and path of each file. So, once you select the output format and profile, you can specify the destination folder and name.

But you can also change audio and video options when it comes to frame rate, size, sample frequency rate and channels. Settings can be restored to their default values.

In "Preferences" you can enable Alive Video Joiner to overwrite existing file names without prompt, to delete the target file when canceled, to save the file list for further processing, and more.

The app takes up a moderate amount of system resources, includes a brief step-by-step guide with snapshots for beginners and didn't crash or pop up errors during our tests. However, it froze when trying to convert an AVI and MOV file.

All in all, Alive Video Joiner is a pretty good tool for joining video files and we recommend it to users of any experience level.
