AllMusicConverter is a simple-to-use application that you can use to encode media files to various audio and video formats, including AVI, WMA, WMV, MP4 and MP3.

The interface of the program is simple and intuitive. Media files can be imported into the list by using either the file browser or "drag and drop" method. Batch processing is allowed.

Once you add media files to the queue, conversion will be automatically initialized. Unfortunately, there is no cancel button but you can remove the item from the list via the context menu.

In the "Settings" area you can enable AllMusicConverter to encode to the same folder as the original files, to a subfolder named "Converted" in the source folder or to a custom location. But you can also set the action when the output file already exists (e.g. overwrite, create unique name) and set the tool to automatically convert files from a specific folder.

In addition, you can adjust the audio and video compression quality, disable the program from automatically starting conversion and from preserving subfolders, change the interface language, burn an audio CD, copy music to iPod, preview the original tracks in a built-in player, and more.

The simplistic application needs a low-to-moderate amount of system resources, includes a well-written help file (too bad it doesn't have snapshots), has a good response time, quickly finishes a task and manages to keep a very good image and sound quality. We haven't come across any issues during our tests.

Unfortunately, you cannot create a new output profile by making additional audio and video modifications besides the compression quality (e.g. sample frequency rate, aspect ratio, channels, volume). But, other than that, we strongly recommend AllMusicConverter to all users.
