Amigo DVD Ripper is a tool that you can use to convert your DVD files to other formats - VCD, SVCD or AVI.

The interface of the program is plain and easy to navigate through. You can import an ISO or IFO file by using the file browser only, since the "drag and drop" method is not supported. Batch processing is allowed.

In the list you can check out the source path, target directory and output type of each DVD.

So, all you have to do is establish the output format and destination, and proceed with the conversion task.

In addition, you can modify audio and video properties when it comes to the quality, frame rate, split mode, bit rate and codec. Settings can be restored to their default values at any time.

In the "Preferences" area you can also enable Amigo DVD Ripper to show the startup dialog, to run in the background and to use wizard mode when adding files to the list (recommended for beginners). On top of that, you can set the deinterlace mode, choose a subtitle, select the language stream and camera angle, and more.

The DVD processing tool requires a moderate-to-high amount of system resources, includes a well-drawn help file with snapshots for newbies and quickly finishes a task while maintaining a very good image and sound quality. No errors have popped up during our tests and Amigo DVD Ripper did not freeze or crash.

Unfortunately, the interface is outdated and you cannot select individual DVD chapters for processing. Nevertheless, we strongly recommend Amigo DVD Ripper to all users, regardless of their experience level.
