AutoShutDown is a simple-to-use software application that enables you to schedule an automatic power option for your computer, such as shutdown, restart, or log off. It doesn't contain complicated options or configuration parameters, making it accessible to all types of users.

The setup procedure is fast, and the only notable factor is that it needs .NET Framework. It's wrapped in a user-friendly interface made from a single window that shows all options available.

You can ask the computer to power off, reboot, log off, or enter sleep or hibernation mode. As far as the scheduler is concerned, you can either pick an exact time and date by consulting a calendar, or enter the number of minutes to start counting down from.

The operation is triggered with the click of a button, and the software utility can be minimized to the system tray area to become non-intrusive and let you carry on your normal PC activities.

When there are only 30 minutes left on the clock, AutoShutDown shows a notification by restoring its window to the screen to give you the opportunity to cancel the task if you change your mind or forgot all about the app while working on a project, playing a game, or enjoying a movie.

As we expected, it didn't put a strain on the overall performance of the machine in our tests, thanks to the fact that it needed a low amount of CPU and RAM to function normally. It worked smoothly, without triggering the operating system to hang, crash or prompt error dialogs.

Although it doesn't come loaded with more advanced options and customization preferences, AutoShutDown delivers a speedy and effective solution for scheduling a power option for your computer.
