AX-ZIP Finder is an application that enables you to look inside archives to view and extract containing files and folders to the computer.

It features advanced settings that should be particularly appealing to experienced users. The supported archive file types are ZIP, CAB, RAR, JAR, XAP, ACE and 7Z.

Installing this program takes minimal time and effort. Its interface is similar to the one of a file explorer, where you can use a tree view to locate archives and view their contents.

AX-ZIP Finder gives you the possibility to limit the search range from one file to several disks, include or exclude subfolders, as well as to put together filters for including or excluding specific files by size or date. Any files can be extracted to the local disk via drag-and-drop support, similar to copying files in Windows Explorer.

Moreover, you can save the list with search results to Microsoft Word or Excel format, conduct basic searches across the results, view file properties, review the history with selected items, create and organize bookmarks, as well as switch to a different UI style.

When it comes to program preferences, you can set the compression level when creating and adding items, use the deflate or bzip2 compression method, pack files and folders without paths, instruct the tool to update data without prompt, disable the drag-and-drop support when extracting files, make file associations, as well as link the application to OneDrive, Dropbox or Google Drive.

We haven't experienced any stability issues in our tests, since it didn't freeze, crash or prompt error messages. It used a low amount of CPU and RAM. All in all, AX-ZIP Finder features advanced options and configuration settings for browsing archives and extracting items.
