Backup2009 Pro is a backup and synchronization utility that provides all the necessary tools for creating secure copies of your important files and folders.

Designed with ease of use in mind, the application features a wizard-driven interface that can walk you through the all the steps of creating new backup or sync profiles, from selecting the destination folder to configuring the action logging options. The backup configuration can be saved and used at a later point.

The application can perform full or incremental backups, with the latter option meaning that Backup2009 Pro only includes the changed files in the backup, thus saving disk space. Optionally, the hidden and the system files can be added to the backup folder. Also, you can setup an exclusion list that contains the file types to be left out in the backup process and use the Virtual Shadow Copy Service in order to copy locked files and folders.

Backup2009 Pro can reduce the size of your data using ZIP, ZIP64, BZIP or BZIP2 compression methods and apply the AES 256 algorithm for data encryption. For security purposes, the application allows you to set an alternative target location (which is used in case the default backup folder is not available) and a second destination to store the backup archive.

The program can be configured to notify you via email on errors or warnings, as well as automatically send a summary report and the log file as an attachment. The 'Agenda' section is where you can view a list of all the scheduled tasks, while the 'History' tab displays details about all the backup activity.

Disk and partition cloning, disc erasing options (format UDF mediums), bootable medium creation, CD/DVD burning capabilities are other advantages that this application comes with. Additionally, you can use it to perform one-way or two-way synchronization between local or network folders.

Combining ease of use with advanced capabilities, Backup2009 Pro is a comprehensive backup tool that supports multiple destinations, including local hard drives and network locations.
