Backup Plus is a lightweight cross-platform utility that helps users backup important data.

It sports a clean and straightforward interface that allows you to create a new archive by specifying the name, saving directory and compression level (low, normal or high).

The application offers direct access to the files and folders stored in your computer, so you can easily select the ones to include in the backup. Aside from adding files and folders to an archive, you can create an exclusion list and filter items using wildcards.

Backup Plus lets you pick the backup style (single archived backups with or without FTP uploading options, multiple disks or CD backups), and encrypt the information by setting up passwords.

At the end of the job, you can view details about the number of included and skipped items, compression ratio, and possible errors, and you may also print the report.

What’s more, the app generates statistics for the selected backup (the total number of items, folders and size) and performs tests to verify if the items included in the backup are valid.

Backup Plus comes packed with restoring capabilities, and lets you view the content of the archives directly in the primary panel. It is possible to select the files and folders to be restored.

Other important functions worth mentioning allow you to enable the logging mode, delete the log if the size of files exceeds a specified value, overwrite existing items when restoring them, configure the FTP parameters, delete the archived items after uploading them, as well as schedule the backup process.

All in all, Backup Plus provides an intuitive GUI and useful features that come in handy for all types of users, regardless of their experience level.
