Blue Cat's Liny EQ is a linear phase equalizer with eight bands that provides the end user with low latency and offers visual feedback. It can be used to process audio signals without phase distortion and with less than three milliseconds of latency, which is a quite low value.

Since it is a plugin, it needs to be integrated into a host application. In this case, all applications that are compatible with DirectX, RTAS, AAX or VTS components can be used as host apps. Some examples are FL Studio, Traktor or Ableton.

Its interface can be customized and features a spectrogram viewer along with a spectrum analyzer utility. Users can customize display options and select the most suitable layouts according to their preferences.

Blue Cat's Liny EQ features a wide gain spectrum that ranges from -40dB to +40dB, as well as several filter shapes, making it possible for users to generate complex equalizer curves. If the dual channels version is used, it is possible to work on each of the left/right or mid/side channels separately, as it offers individual settings. However, the channels can be linked, if needed.

It can be combined with control plugins to perform dynamic EQ tasks, given that it comes with a component that constantly updates the equalizer curve by relying on MIDI or automation.
