Bopup Messenger is an instant messenger that allows its users to communicate over a LAN connection. You will be able to securely send files, but also personal or group messages. This type of program is usually very good in companies, as it permits easy access to all personnel connected to the same LAN.
The interface of this messenger is a bit outdated, the pixelated buttons reminding us of how Windows used to look back in ’98. Despite all this, the program is really easy to use, no matter if this is the first time you are using a PC or the millionth.
In the upper side of the main window, you will be able to see the normal Menu Bar, followed by a few buttons that allow you to send messages, transfer files, view history and change options. The rest of the window is occupied by the contact list and the messages that you have sent and received.
A nice feature that the Bopup Messenger offers is the fact that you are able to create a list of quick answers (short phrases that you frequently use), but also a list of away messages (messages that you frequently use when you are away from the PC).
Of course, just like any other messenger, Bopup also provides users with options such as emoticons and the ability to change the fonts and colors of your writing. Transferring files and messaging are encrypted with strong algorithms so all the conversations you will have will be safe and secure.
All in all, Bopup Messenger is a useful tool that can help people that are connected to the same LAN to communicate easily and securely, but the biggest disadvantage of the program is that it looks outdated.
