Clip History is an ultra-simplistic software application designed to help you keep track of all text selections you copy to the Clipboard. Therefore, you do not have to go through the trouble of retracing steps in case you have forgotten something. The tool is restricted to text only.

The setup procedure does not take a long time to finish, nor require special attention. At startup, Clip History creates an icon in the system tray area and sits there quietly until called upon. This way, it becomes non-intrusive when recording all texts copied to the Clipboard in real time.

Double-clicking the system tray icon brings up a small window where you can examine all recorded clips, along with their corresponding date and time. Worth mentioning is that Clip History does not keep duplicates in the list. It makes note of a text selection's first occurrence only.

Any selected item from the history list can be copied to the Clipboard easily via the context menu. Apart from the fact that you can ask the tool to automatically run at system startup until further notice, there are no other noteworthy options available here.

The tool does not put a strain on PC performance, as it runs on low CPU and RAM. We have not come across any issues throughout our evaluation, since it did not hang, crash or pop up error dialogs. Although it is not very resourceful in its feature set, Clip History provides users with a simple means of monitoring all text-based clips.
