More and more people are choosing to rely on cloud storage instead of installing additional physical drives, especially now that SSDs, with their limited storage capabilities, have become so widespread.

CloudMounter is a Windows application, also available for MacOS, that makes it much easier to manage your cloud drives. They are mounted as regular disks, so you can download and upload files without using a web browser or other utilities.

The application is remarkably simple to configure. Once launched, you will see the available services in the left-hand panel, and you only need to provide your account details to let the software access them.

After the authentication process has been completed, you can set any name for the new disks and assign them a free drive letter. Lastly, you can mount or unmount the drives at any time, as well as remove them from the list.

CloudMounter makes it as easy as possible to manage files stored in the cloud, whether you want to upload new content or download existing items. They can all be viewed using File Explorer, and you can add or remove files as if they were stored anywhere on your PC.

To make things even easier, the application can be accessed directly from the system tray icon. The context menu allows you to mount drives or open them in Explorer whenever you need to access files or upload new ones.

Unfortunately, the Windows version of CloudMounter does not allow you to connect to other cloud storage services, such as Amazon S3, WebDAV or OpenStack Swift, and it also cannot be used to manage FTP or SFTP servers.

All in all, CloudMounter is a useful application for those who rely on multiple cloud storage services, as it makes the task of downloading and uploading files much easier. Support for more cloud locations would be welcome in future releases, but the program is very intuitive and simple to configure.
