Cucusoft DVD to iPod Converter is a tool that can encode DVDs to the MP4 or MP3 format, for iPods and iPhones.

The interface of the application is easy to work with. You can import a DVD from disc or hard drive by using the file browser (the "drag and drop" method is not supported, at least not on Windows 7).

So, all you have to do is select a profile and output location, and initiate the conversion process.

But you can also crop the video (e.g. both black bands) and resize it (e.g. stretch to full screen), as well as view it in a built-in media player (you can pause, stop, go to the next or previous chapter, go to the menu, and so on).

Furthermore, you can check out the DVD information (e.g. name, title, chapters, domain, duration, frame rate, resolution), switch to full screen mode, select the subtitle and choose the audio track.

Plus, you can configure profile settings (e.g. video encoder, bit rate, frame rate and size, audio encoder, bit rate, sample rate, channels and volume, aspect ratio, device format). In "Advanced Settings", you can enable auto fast forward to the DVD menu after it is open, record the DVD menu, and others. Settings can be restored to default.

The program uses a massive amount of system resources and includes a comprehensive help file with images. We haven't come across any problems during our evaluation.

However, a watermark is displayed right in the center of the video, in demo version. Also, Cucusoft DVD to iPod Converter can take a long time to complete a task and the videos don't run smoothly. We suggest you test the software for yourself.
