DBSync for MS SQL and DB2 is a database synchronization tool which performs two-way conversion and synchronization from MS SQL databases to DB2 and from DB2 to MS SQL.

The tool is also applicable for MS SQL database replication to another MS SQL database and is appropriate for copying DB2 to another DB2 database. You can convert and synchronize MS SQL with DB2 or DB2 with SQL simply by configuring several options and by making some sync customizations through a Wizard interface or in command line mode.

Command line parameters added to a scheduling function enables you to automatically synchronize or convert data regularly without user input and supplementary settings.

DBSync for MS SQL and DB2 provides the bulk of functional capabilities such as interactive (GUI) mode / command line mode, CLOB, BLOB DB2 data types smooth conversion to MS SQL types, insert, update and drop synchronization types, advanced customization options, ability to save sessions for further use, flexible task scheduling with built-in scheduler, data filtering, preverification of possible conversion errors, etc. Insert sync is meant for adding new records from a source to a destination.

Update sync is intended for replacing the altered records in a destination db. Drop sync type allows users to delete records from a destination db if these records were removed in the source. Update, Insert and Drop sync types together allow keeping distributed databases in agreement.

DBSync for MS SQL and DB2 provides you with the ability to manipulate synchronization preferences on Customization stage exactly according to your needs. Filtering data during conversion allows users to retrieve only specific data for converted tables according to defined filtering criteria.

Filters give you more control on the data migration process. Possible synchronization errors can be detected before the conversion process gets started. This application can display potential problems within your table objects before they occur.
