The Internet is filled with all sort of applications and software solutions that you can use in order to enhance features on your computer and do all sort of things. One of such programs is Fast-Help.
It's a nice tool that allows you to create help sections for various types of applications. It comes with lots of nice tools and features that you can check out.
The application doesn't take long to install and it doesn't come with a complicated setup that you would need to complete before you can actually use it. It's packed with lots of nice features and tools that you can check out, all neatly arranged in a lightweight and easy-to-use graphical interface.
The Fast-Help environment is in many ways, designed to look like your finished help file. At the top of your screen you will see your Project name, then your help file name, then the Project title.
The first thing that you need to do after launching the application is to create a new project. You will need to provide a project name, title and choose the folder in which you would like to save it.
Fast-Help will automatically create all the support folders you will need, including Images and output directories for WinHelp, HtmlHelp and all the other possible compile options.
When you click the save icon in the toolbar this will automatically save all your data, but when you move away from a Topic to say the next one, or open the Compile screen etc, your data will automatically be saved.
Because each Project is independent of another you can simply choose not to open the same Project again and leave it at that. It comes with an extensive settings menu that allows you to make some Html settings or convert known diacritic accents to Html equivalent.
You can set a background image for all pages by selecting an image. It supports png, gif, jpg or bmp file. All in all, Fast-Help is a very nice application that allows you to create help menus for your programs.
