The Internet is an excellent means to connect a computer to a network of users, making it possible to communicate with people all over the world. Fideliphone is an application that allows users to simulate a phone call with other users via the application, turning a computer with an internet connection into an online phone device.

The design of Fideliphone is exceptionally simple, and, essentially allows users to add contacts via port information, and a few other basic settings generated by the application. It is exceedingly simple and while the call aspect does work, it is incapable of doing anything else.

The biggest issue by far with this is it lacks a basic text message component, being able to type text to other users is considered essential for most online communication tools, even if they are primarily a audio based application. The lack of a text messenger aspect to the Fideliphone essentially means that its uses are few and far between, easily being surpassed by other voice communication systems.

The simplistic nature of Fideliphone is again its biggest hurdle as it lacks detail in all areas, there are no status modes, no way to block incoming calls automatically, no way to assign different ringtones to various contacts and so on.

There is a huge number of options that could be added to Fideliphone to make it a more robust application, as well as design improvements. The flaws are made worse by the difficult way to add other contacts, since it requires port information and a custom name generated by the application, users will need to use another communication method to exchange the contact information.

Sadly, Fideliphone leaves a lot to be desired and could be easily be improved in a number of ways. There are no shortage of online voice programs that allow users to speak together, either single calls or group, or voice chat rooms. Fideliphone lacks what would be considered basic features on most of them, yet the lack of a text feature really ruins any future it might have.
