FLV Converter is an application with a pretty self-explanatory name - it allows you to encode video files between FLV and various formats, such as AVI, 3GP, MP4 and SWF. It can be easily used by individuals of any experience level.

The interface of the program is plain and simple to navigate through. Media files can be imported into the queue by using the file browser only, since the "drag and drop" method is not supported. Batch processing is allowed.

In the list you can check out the input and output name and format, size, location, progress, frames per second and current time of each video. So, all you have to do is establish the destination folder and extension, in order to proceed with the encoding job.

On top of that, you can change audio and video properties when it comes to the frame size, encoder, sample frequency rate, bit rate, channel mode, volume, aspect ratio, timestamp, log level, thread priority and others.

The video encoding software runs on a moderate-to-high amount of system resources, has a good response time, quickly finishes a task and manages to preserve a fair image and sound quality (which could had been a lot better). No errors have occurred during our tests and FLV Converter did not freeze or crash. Plus, you can look into a well-drawn help file with snapshots for novices. Too bad the interface is outdated. We recommend FLV Converter with reservations.
