Most of us went through the time-consuming process of reinstalling the system due to constant crashes and slow performance, but what's more unpleasant is to lose your important documents and favorite images to such errors. In some cases, it's almost impossible to retrieve them, but with the modern and continuous tech development, you can easily find a suitable program to quickly search for deleted items.

Getback Photos is a straightforward yet efficient application that comes with the proper means to look for lost photos, clips and PDF files on specific hard drives and restore them completely.

The installation is finished before you know and uncomplicated. It's wrapped in a self-explanatory and simplistic interface consisting of a simple window that provides three easy steps you need to follow to get the best results. The first stage is to select the desired search location, pick the items you wish to find and hit start scan.

Each category comes with a more detailed selection. For example, some of the supported image formats are JPG, TIFF, PNG, PSD, CRW,  SR2, ICO or CUR, while for movies, you can choose AVI, MOV, WMV, MPG, MP4, RM or 3GP. When running the scan operation, a progress bar is shown along with the record counter. It's possible to pause and stop the process at any given time.

Once complete, a new panel is displayed with a neatly folder tree, where you can view each item and only pick the most important ones. Each directory shows in brackets the total number of found files. In addition, you have the option to display a more detailed view for every file. Once you decided what records should be retrieved, you can hit the "Recover" button.
