Image Resize is an application with a pretty self-explanatory title - it allows you to change the size of your image files. The tool can be mainly used by experienced individuals.

This is a portable program, so installation it not necessary. It means that you can place Image Resize on a removable device (like a USB flash drive), plug it into any computer and directly run its executable file. The most important aspect is that your Windows registry items will not be changed.

The interface of Image Resize is based on a standard window in which you can import image files into the queue by using the treeview only, because the "drag and drop" method is not supported. Batch processing is allowed.

In the list you can check out the name and format, along with original and new size of the image files. So, once you set the new size values, you can specify the output directory and proceed with the conversion task.

The new size of the pictures can be set in either pixels or percentage. Furthermore, you can preview output files, set a file naming pattern and adjust the JPEG quality.

The image processing tool requires a small amount of system resources, has a good response time, quickly finishes a task and manages to maintain a good image quality after resizing. No errors have occurred during our testing and Image Resize did not freeze or crash.

On the other hand, there is no help file available and this can be troublesome for first-time users. Plus, the interface is outdated. We recommend Image Resize with some reservations.
