iPodSync is a lightweight Windows application whose purpose is to help you transfer Outlook contacts, appointments, tasks, notes, email messages, weather forecasts, and web news feeds to your iPod.

Additionally, it is able to transfer picture and voice recordings from your iPod to your computer. The aforementioned features can be tested only on iPod devices as the tool doesn’t offer support for iPhone and iPod Touch.

iPodSync adopts a clean and user-friendly layout that leaves room for no ambiguities. It organizes the key features with the aid of different categories, such as Contacts, Calendar, Tasks, Notes, Mail, Web, Advanced, and Sync iPod. Each of the aforementioned options comes with its own dedicated parameters.

The application gives you the possibility to synchronize contacts and include items marked as private, birthday in notes field, anniversary in notes field, name of spouses, and children.

When it comes to calendar management, you can make the utility disable the sync process for appointments that happened in the past, include all appointments in your calendar or specify a custom range of dates. Additionally, you are allowed to add recurring appointments and group iPod Calendars by categories or Outlook folders.

iPodSync is able to sync tasks, skip unfinished tasks from the sync mode or embed all tasks, insert due data and priority in the task title, as well as place tasks at the bottom or top of the contact list.

Notes can be easily transferred by including only those notes with ‘iPod’ in the subject or all of them, and adding notes at the top or bottom of the contact list.

You can make the utility transfer all email messages or unread items for a user-defined number of days, and alter the title (subject or date) and location (top or bottom part of the contact list). When it comes to weather forecast, you need to specify the ZIP code of the city and choose the news feeds you want to sync to your iPod.

iPodSync lets you copy pictures from iPod to computer and delete old photos from the PC that no longer exist on the iPod, or move images. The same options are available for voice recordings.

Advanced features help you automatically sync your iPod on startup and eject iPod when sync is complete, as well as export contacts to vCard file format.

All in all, iPodSync comes with a handy suite of features for helping you manage the file transfer process. However, it hasn’t been updated for some time, so you may encounter several errors, especially on newer operating systems.
