Joboshare DivX to DVD Converter is an application with a pretty self-explanatory title - it allows you to encode AVI files to DVDs. The tool can be used by both novices and experienced individuals.

The interface of the program is clean and pretty intuitive. Video clips can be imported via the file browser or treeview only, since the "drag and drop" method is not supported (not on Windows 7, at least). Batch processing is allowed.

In the queue you can check out the thumbnail, title, resolution, resize method, duration and location of each video.

All you have to do is specify the DVD name and output destination (disc, DVD folder or ISO file), in order to proceed with the encoding job.

But you can also preview clips in a small, built-in media player, edit the DVD menu, trim videos by marking their start and end position, set post-task actions (e.g. close application, turn off computer), select the video format, aspect ratio and quality, choose the burning speed, enable Joboshare DivX to DVD Converter to automatically delete temporary files after encoding, and others.

The DVD ripping software uses a moderate-to-high amount of system resources, includes a brief step-by-step guide for rookies, has a good response time and didn't freeze, crash or pop up errors during our tests. The image and sound quality is preserved at a good level. However, Joboshare DivX to DVD Converter can take a very long time to complete a job. But, even so, we strongly recommend this tool to all users.
