As its name implies, Magic Audio Joiner is an application designed to help you merge audio tracks and convert them to other formats, such as FLAC, MP3, OGG, AC3 and WAV.
The interface of the program is plain and simple to work with. Sound files can be added to the list by using either the Explorer-based layout or "drag and drop" method.
In the file list you can check out the name, format and metadata of each item. If you prefer the default settings, then all you have to do is specify the output directory, file type and filename.
Otherwise, you can configure audio settings when it comes to the channel mode, sample rate, filtering, bit rate, quality, highpass, variable bit rate and attributes. Unfortunately, you cannot create output profiles or restore settings to their default values.
In addition, you can insert silence, set Magic Audio Joiner to overwrite existing files and to delete source files after conversion, edit metadata, load cover art and change the interface language.
In the "Options" area you can set Magic Audio Joiner to play a sound when the process is done, to check for updates at startup and to copy ID3 tags. During the conversion procedure you can set the tool to turn off the computer or to open the output directory after encoding, as well as specify the thread priority.
The audio processing program requires a moderate amount of system resources to finish a task quickly. It is very responsive and manages to keep a good sound quality after conversion. No errors have occurred during our testing and Magic Audio Joiner did not freeze or crash.
