Nowadays, most audio players available out there come with dedicated tools to allow users listen to online radio stations, so why use a separate application just for this purpose? Well, mostly because Online Radio Tuner has so many great things to offer besides the main tool to tune in your favorite radio station.

The application has a very simple interface that shows the name of the station and the song you're listening to, along with album art, if any is available. Plus, there are the common song control buttons to play and stop the music, but also a dedicated tool to record what you hear and save it into MP3 format.

The recording utility is in fact one of the most useful goodies of the app because it's able to track the content you are listening to and, if you wish, start recording at the next song change. Of course, it can also stop the recording when the song comes to an end, so it's quite easy to save your favorite songs on the local disk.

There's a rich presets menu that includes tons of radio stations from all over the world. The entries are grouped in three different categories: broadcast networks, genre and region, so it's quite easy to find the one you like. In addition, there's also a search tool to make things even easier.

As for customizations, Online Radio Tuner has a comprehensive options menu that includes settings for auto updates, network configurations, recording profiles, scheduling and hotkeys to control the app without bringing up its main window.

The best thing about the application is probably the recording tool that worked flawlessly during our test and may really come in handy to many of you. On the other hand, the downside is the fact that users cannot add their very own stations in the list, so in case a favorite radio is not in the built-in list, there's no way of including it manually.
