PDF Page Counter is a simple software application whose purpose is to aid individuals in counting the number of pages certain PDFs have, with just a few clicks.

The installation process can be easily skipped, as this tool is portable. Instead, you can copy the program files to any location on the hard drive, and just double-click the executable in order to run it. Moreover, if you place the program files to an external data device, you make it possible to use it on the fly, on any computer you can connect to.

Another noteworthy aspect is that PDF Page Counter, unlike installers, is not going to add new files or other items to the Windows registry or hard drive without your approval, and it will leave no traces after its removal.

The interface is a bit outdated, yet its design is well-structured and minimal. It is comprised of several panels which enable you to view a folder structure, all containing PDF documents and number of pages of selected items, a menu bar and a few buttons. As a result, it can be used with great ease by both beginners and highly experienced people.

This software utility enables you to select one or several PDFs for counting, while it is also possible to process all documents available. All results can be saved to a custom location on the hard drive, in a TXT or CSV format, for further analysis. You can also view, in the main window, the total number of files processes, and the total number of pages. No other notable options are present.

The system’s performance is not affected in any way, as CPU and memory usage remains at a low level at all times. The interface is accessible and our tests did not pick up on any kind of freezes, errors or crashes. Taking all of this into consideration, we can safely say PDF Page Counter is a simple, yet efficient piece of software. Nonetheless, it could benefit from a little more work.
