PictureSaver is a lightweight software application built specifically for helping you generate a screensaver by combining multiple images stored in your computer.

Once you have installed the application, it places in the Windows screensaver menu, thus allowing you to set it as the default screensaver, and change various settings.

PictureSaver offers quick access to the files and folders stored in your computer, so you can easily pick the photos to include in the screensaver.

The tool gives you the possibility to set the image order in the screensaver by moving files up or down, preview the selected picture, specify the displaying time for each picture, show picture descriptions and a clock, as well as customize the text in terms of font, size, 3D effects, and alignment.

What’s more, you can choose the background color, insert frames, reduce or stretch images to fit or fill the screen, maintain aspect ratio, choose the picture position, as well as apply various transitions (e.g. explode, rotate, interlace), adjust the speed for the transitions, as well as add groups which contain various pictures and change them after a user-defined time.

During our testing we have noticed that PictureSaver carries out a task quickly and without errors. It doesn’t eat up a lot of CPU and memory, so the overall performance of the computer is not affected.

All in all, PictureSaver offers a handy set of parameters for helping you create beautiful screensavers which display a slideshow with custom images. Thanks to its straightforward layout, it is suitable for rookies and professionals alike.
