As its title suggests, PSP Video Converter is an application designed to help you encode video files to the format supported by PSP devices, namely MP4. It can be easily handled by all user levels.

The interface of the program is plain and simple to navigate through. Video clips can be imported into the list by using the file browser only, because the "drag and drop" method is not supported. Batch conversion is allowed.

In the queue you can view the source path and format, along with status of each video. All you have to do is specify the output directory and proceed with the conversion process.

Additionally, you can preview clips in a built-in media player, enable PSP Video Converter to overwrite existing files and to download the output videos on the PSP device, disable deinterlacing and program sounds, select the audio track and AC3 volume, and others.

The video processing tool takes up a moderate amount of system resources, has a good response time, quickly finishes a task and manages to keep a good image and sound quality in the output videos. Unfortunately, there is no help file available and you cannot change audio and video settings (e.g. frame rate, resolution, sampling rate) or configure program options (e.g. enable PSP Video Converter to automatically turn off the computer after encoding).
