As the name of this application implies, River Past Crazi Video for Sansa allows you to prepare video files for Sandisk Sansa, but also for AppleTV, BlackBerry, Wii, Xbox and Zune, among other devices.

The GUI of the tool is dull but easy to work with; you can add videos to the file list by using either the file browser, folder view or 'drag and drop' method. Handling multiple clips simultaneously is allowed.

In the file queue you can find out the initial and output name and format, duration, audio and video properties, estimated size, and status for each entry.

Once you establish the output destination and profile, you can proceed with the conversion procedure with the default settings.

Otherwise, you can pick the video quality and maximum audio bit rate, make River Past Crazi Video for Sansa create an album folder if the album information is available, and to add the converted items to iTunes for syncing. In addition, you can preview clips, remove an item from the list or clear the entire file queue, save the conversion list, manage player plugins, and parse files.

The video conversion program needs a moderate-to-high amount of CPU and system memory, has a good response time, quickly finishes a task, and delivers videos with a fair image and sound quality. We haven't come across any issues during our tests.

Unfortunately, you cannot configure additional audio and video properties (e.g. channel mode, frame rate), and the interface needs some major improvements. But we must keep in mind the fact that River Past Crazi Video for Sansa has not been updated for a long time.
