SMAC is a networking program that enables users to change MAC addresses and automatically restart the network adapter when necessary, among other features.

Although it may sound a little difficult to handle by casual users, its set of features is pretty intuitive, accessible to even those with limited experience in networking software.

Installing the program is done quickly and painlessly, since no special input is required.

Its interface is made from a normal window with a plain and simple layout, where a list shows the ID number, activity status, network adapter, IP and MAC address for each identified connection. It is also possible to display the inactive network adapters as well.

Spoofing the MAC address is easily done with the click of a button. In addition, you can update or remove the MAC, restart the adapter, generate random MAC addresses, refresh the connections list, as well as view a list of MAC addresses and IPconfig information. Moreover, you can disable the option to automatically restart the network adapter.

The tool does not put a strain on computer performance, as it runs on low CPU and memory. We have not experienced any issues throughout our evaluation, since the tool did not hang, crash or display error dialogs. All in all, SMAC serves its purpose and can be easily handled.

On the other hand, it has not been updated for a pretty long time, and its price is a little high.
