Strokes Maker is a comprehensive graphic editing application that gives you the possibility to create color shaped vector images based on the initial raster pictures. It contains advanced options and configuration settings for experienced users.

The installation procedure is a fast and simple job that shouldn't impose any difficulties, thanks to the fact that it contains only familiar options. Packed in a professional-looking interface, Strokes Maker offers support for many file types, such as Autodesk (.cel, .pic), .eps, .psp, Photoshop (.pdd, .psd), .png and .bmp.

It puts numerous drawing tools at your disposal, like shape, metric, stroke and mask area. You can invert the view mode and colors, hide blur and strokes, adjust the transparency level, as well as to add new strokes and render them.

Multiple layers are supported, so you can easily bring them to the front or send them to the back, as well as delete them. As far as stroke settings are concerned, it's possible to select the line type and color, enable dashed lines, set the thickness and basrelief, and so on. Projects can be exported as colored or black-and-white images.

No error dialogs popped up in our tests. However, Strokes Maker had a very slow response time to user commands and sometimes froze while we were tinkering with its settings. Although CPU usage was low, RAM consumption was significant. We must also take into account the fact that it hasn't been updated for a long time, so it likely has compatibility issues with later Windows editions. Nevertheless, you can take it for a spin.
