Test My English is a simple piece of software that comes in handy when you want to test your English knowledge by selecting the proper missing words from the list.

The program adopts a Metro-style interface with the text taking up all the space. The app can be installed on desktops and mobile devices alike and ran on Windows 8, 8.1 and 10.

Once it's downloaded from the Store and installed on the computer, you can disable your Internet connection if you have a data cap, as the tool doesn't require web access to run properly.

Test My English doesn't come with any other visual or general settings that could've been of great help to change the background color with another one and set the font type and size for the displayed text.

The tool offers only random texts without the choice to load your own content from a file or paste it from the clipboard. Plus, there are no explanations to tell you what exactly are you supposed to choose nor filters to test only specific parts of speech.

Your goal is to pick the correct preposition, subject, verb, adjective, verb or word completion from the drop-down menu and once done, check to see if the choices you made are right. Green means you are correct, red means you picked the wrong term.

You can also reset the text and start again. It would've been nice if the app provided an export feature to save the completed text to the drive along with the right and wrong answers.

The bottom line is that Test My English is a plain and unreliable piece of software designed to offer a simple method to test your English skills on random and poorly-optimized texts.
