As the name of this software implies, Video Splitter Joiner and Converter allows you to merge and encode clips to other formats, such as AVI, MPG and WMV. But you can also split videos.

The interface of the program is plain and simple to navigate through. Video clips can be imported into the list by using the file browser only, because the "drag and drop" method is not supported. Batch processing is allowed.

In the list you can check out the status, type, source and target time, along with details on each job. So, all you have to do is specify the output destination, filename and extension, in order to proceed with the encoding job.

But you can also configure video settings when it comes to the size, frame rate and resizing method, preview clips in a small, built-in media player, split videos by marking their start and end position, and others.

The video processing tool requires a low-to-moderate amount of system resources, has a good response time and quickly finishes a task. There's also a well-drawn help file with snapshots that you can look into. However, Video Splitter Joiner and Converter failed numerous tasks during our tests and crashed a couple of times. Plus, the interface is outdated. We strongly recommend you look for something more advanced than this tool.
