Vole Magic Note is a feature-rich piece of software designed to help you write a diary and keep it safe in a digital environment. It comes packed with a handy set of options and configuration parameters. For example, you can embed photos, videos and hyperlinks in your diary.

The interface is based on a large window that contains several panes. It's not very intuitive but you can load a sample to help you get started. Plus, help documentation is available.

Standard text formatting options are available. You can change the font style and size, along with the indentation and text alignment, as well as use a search function to quickly locate a keyword in the diary. It is also possible to set reminders for important events, and to populate the diary with multiple files.

No error dialogs popped up in our tests, and the software utility did not hang or crash. It had a good response time and minimal impact on computer performance, thanks to the fact that it needed a low amount of CPU and RAM to work properly.

Although Vole Magic Note is not the most intuitive diary creating application out there, it contains some handy features that should please users. Those who want to skip the installer and directly run the tool from a pen drive may resort to its portable counterpart.
