Vysor is a Chrome app that makes it possible for Android phone owners to access and control their handsets remotely, from the comfort of their personal computer. To be more specific, this lightweight tool displays the screen of the Android device on the desktop, allowing you to control everything using the mouse and the keyboard. It’s like these computer peripherals are connected to the phone as well.
Please note that Google Chrome is required for the application to run. In fact, Vysor is launched from the Chrome App Launcher.
Its main interface is simple, displaying a list of detected devices that are connected to the PC (via a USB cable, Wi-Fi connection is not supported). You will discover another mandatory requirement for Windows, namely the ADB drivers. A link to download them is available in the main window.
Once the handset is selected, Vysor takes care of deploying the Android counterpart of the application, so as to establish a new connection. Everything is ready to go in an instant.
Vysor displays a window of the connected Android device on your desktop, enabling you to control the device as if you were holding it in your hands. You can access any app, swipe using the mouse to switch to another desktop area, access the settings, browse the Web, and so on. In other words, there is nothing you cannot do remotely via the fully controllable window of Vysor.
Perhaps one of the most beneficial feature of Vysor is that it enables you to type much easier, as you are using a desktop keyboard instead of a phone's virtual one. The mouse cursor replaces the tip of your finger, allowing you to click, scroll and point.
Vysor is a remote control application for Android phones. But aside from remote controlling the handset, you can also take phone screenshots (by default, they open in a web browser on your PC) and save them locally. Furthermore, Android developers can use it as an alternative to other Android emulators, this time on a real device.
