WorldClock Screen Saver is a very nifty screensaver that displays the current time and date in multiple locations from all over the world, right on your desktop.
The screensaver includes a high-resolution image which represents the world map; it does not display elements, by default.
The app comes with a wide range of customization options. Thus, you can make the map stretch to fill the screen, show the sun, moon and specify their size, as well as show world lines and overlap time panels.
In case you have multiple monitors, you can restrict the world map to a single one. Plus, you can establish the location to be used as the center of the map, show night shadows (earth night lights or translucent shading), as well as adjust the translucency level and color.
WorldClock Screen Saver allows you to set up to 10 time panel places, use the 24-hour time display mode, and change the font. But you can also display a calendar and configure settings (e.g. main font, size, color), circle the current date, draw rectangles around holiday dates, show a calendar, as well as modify some calendar properties (e.g. position, style, number of months, public holidays).
Moreover, you can use a photo-realistic watch face for the clock, hide the date, as well as show weather conditions and modify some of its options (e.g. panel position, display, city name font characteristics).
The easy-to-use tool requires a low amount of system resources and has a good response time. We have not encountered any issues during our tests. Although it looks like an ordinary screensaver at a first glance, WorldClock Screen Saver actually integrates numerous customization settings that are particularly appealing to advanced users.
