Y.A. Photos Date Stamper is a simple software tool which helps you remember the exact day certain photographs were taken, by stamping them with the date and day of the week.

The installation process is a piece of cake, and when you are done with it, you are greeted by a pretty cluttered interface. It is built with two tabs and contains multiple buttons, boxes and information. However, navigating through all the options available will be a breeze, for both power and novice users.

You should know this utility supports both single and batch processing and therefore, enables you to add, with the help of the integrated file browser, specific pictures or entire directories.

Furthermore, it is possible to customize the font type, style, size and color, control the transparency level of the text, the date format and the distance from the bottom right corner at which the text will be set. You can preview your images, or click the “Date it!” button to finish the project.

This software program also lets you change the resolution of multiple pictures at a time. To be more accurate, you can only choose between six parameters, expressed in pixels.

None of the aforementioned processes will alter the original pictures, however, the computer’s performance will be burdened. Moreover, in Softpedia tests, on a 64 bit Windows 8, the app failed to add the date watermark.

To conclude, Y.A. Photos Date Stamper is a pretty decent piece of software, with a good response time. However, it could benefit immensely from an update.
