Outlook add-ins can help users deal with their correspondence on Microsoft's email service more effectively. The scope of EmailDelayRule for Outlook 365 is to minimize sending incorrect drafts by giving users a chance to revise their emails before they're sent.

While the solution to that may seem simple enough, as all users have to do is be a little more diligent and triple-check their emails before sending, human error is always a factor to consider. As such, through this add-in, users can set a delay interval to give them more time to correct any drafting errors they didn't catch at first.

Including the tool into your workflows involves adding its URL through the Outlook add-in menu. Once added, you can start by composing and sending a message with a delay. Clicking the "Send" button will place the respective outgoing email into the Drafts folder with the name "EmailDelayDelivery=5", with 5 being the number of minutes for the delay

After those five minutes are over, the respective message will be automatically sent to the selected contact. Users have the ability to modify the delay interval to take between 1 to 120 minutes. As such, users can be a little more confident that their messages are correctly drafted before they're sent.
