With the introduction of sending email messages as proxy addresses in Microsoft Office 365, users were able to send their data using aliases, which is especially useful when dealing with a professional scenario, involving an organization’s email account, which can have multiple domains. Through this feature, one was able to send and receive all mail content from all domains, in a single mailbox. SmartReply 365 was designed in conjunction with such features, and it targets Microsoft Outlook users.

This Outlook add-in was developed in order to provide users with a solution to the alias feature present in Microsoft Office 365, and it will automatically populate the “From” address when either replying to or forwarding messages as a proxy.

This functionality is provided for the standard, “Reply” feature, as well as for “Reply All” or “Forward”, and it will automatically add the alias address in the “From” field. Aside from its primary purpose, the add-in will also enable users to assign different signatures to their different aliases.

Consequently, one will need to first access the corresponding Outlook section and create the preferred signatures, which will then be available for selection when using the functionality of the add-in, as explained in detail here.
