Magic RAID Recovery comes in handy for retrieving data from corrupted or broken RAID arrays. Providing compatibility with multiple RAID controllers, this application can help you reconstruct broken RAID arrays to recover data easier from NAS and DAS devices.

Working with the application is fairly simple and the presence of the built-in wizards make it even easier. Upon launch, you are greeted by the RAID Constructor, a guide to assist you in rebuilding the RAID arrays.

There are three modes available: “Automatic”, “Manual” and “Search by manufacturer”.  The first mode only requires you to specify the hard disks that build the array, leaving the application to discover additional details, such as the array type and the order of the disks for itself. This requires a bit more time to complete than the other ones, but it requires less of your input.

The manual mode can be selected if you know the array type and can provide additional information about the RAID parameters. Since this data does not need to be retrieved by the application, this mode is faster than the first.

Last but not least, if you know the manufacturer of the array, you can opt for the second option. Information about the structure of the array is not needed in this mode.

Once the RAID is rebuilt, all the RAID volumes and arrays are displayed within the main window. You can easily analyze their content and save them to disk. Magic RAID Recovery provides support for RAID 0, RAID 1, RAID 4, RAID 5, RAID 6, and many other types of arrays, as well as attached NAS and other storage devices.

The RAID recovery wizard is the one that can provide assistance in recovering data from selected arrays, volumes and drives. The first step requires you to select the disk to analyze. There are two different scanning modes, namely a fast scan and a full scan. Magic RAID Recovery supports FAT, exFAT, NTFS, ReFS for Windows and various other file systems for other operating systems.

It is worth mentioning that Magic RAID Recovery performs content-aware analysis by default, meaning it searches the file content.

Magic RAID Recovery features wizards to help you rebuild corrupted or broken RAID arrays and volumes and recover data without a lot of effort from your part. With support for multiple disk and integrated wizards to help you out, the application is capable of recovering data from single-disk and multi-disk storage devices.
