WAV Joiner is an app with a name that perfectly describes its purpose - it allows you to merge audio tracks with the WAV format.
The interface of the program is based on a standard window where you can import items by using either the file browser or "drag and drop" method.
The file queue provides specific information on each entry, such as the source path, size and duration, along with start and end time (to help you get an idea of the total length of the output track).
So, if you do not want to change the standard settings, then you can proceed with the merging procedure by specifying the output directory and filename.
In the "Preferences" area you can select the playback device and set a gap between the files (in seconds), as well as change the default input and output folder. But you can also select the menu style (Flat, XP, Office), display large toolbars and set WAV Joiner to delete files progressively.
Furthermore, you can preview tracks in a built-in audio player, copy items to the clipboard, as well as move items up and down in the file list.
The audio processing program completes a task in reasonable time while using a low-to-moderate amount of CPU and system memory. It has a good response time and includes a help file. We have not encountered any difficulties during our testing. The output tracks have a good sound quality.
On the downside, you cannot change audio properties (e.g. channel mode, volume level) or set WAV Joiner to minimize to the system tray. The tool has not received any recent updates.
