Advanced Image Resizer is an application which allows you to perform several operations on your image files, including resizing and conversion. It can be used by both rookies and experienced individuals.

The interface of the program is based on a standard window in which you can import pictures by using either the file browser or treeview (the "drag and drop" method is not supported). Batch processing is allowed.

In the list you can read the source path, size, date and caption of each image file. So, all you have to do is specify the output destination, new size and format (e.g. BMP, JPG, PNG), in order to proceed with the encoding job.

Furthermore, you can establish an output filename pattern, enable Advanced Image Resizer to overwrite existing files, choose the resize filter, adjust the JPEG quality, apply a grayscale filter, enable captions and configure settings (e.g. position, font, opacity, effect), add watermarks, create HTML files for the thumbnails, and more.

The image processing tool takes up a small amount of system resources, has a good response time, includes a well-written help file with snapshots for all user levels, quickly finishes a task and manages to preserve a good image quality after conversion and resizing. No errors have occurred during our tests and Advanced Image Resizer did not freeze or crash. Putting aside its interface which needs some improvements, we strongly recommend Advanced Image Resizer to all users.
