Anewsoft Video Converter is an application designed to help you encode video clips to the AVI, WMV, MPEG and RM formats. It can be easily handled by all user levels.

The interface of the software is plain and easy to navigate through. Video clips can be imported into the list by using the file browser only, since the "drag and drop" method is unsupported. Batch processing is allowed.

In the queue you can view the name, source format and status of each video. So, all you have to do is specify the output destination and file type, in order to proceed with the task.

But you can also customize audio and video preferences when it comes to the frame rate, bit rate, channel mode, sample frequency rate, size and others. Settings can be saved to a new profile or restored to their default values. Plus, you can merge clips.

During conversion you can check out the current source and output location, elapsed and remaining time, along with a progress bar. But you can also preview the current clips and enable Anewsoft Video Converter to automatically turn off the computer once all tasks have been completed.

The video conversion program takes up a high amount of system resources, can take a while to complete a task and keeps a fair image and sound quality (although it could had been better). No errors have occurred during our tests and Anewsoft Video Converter did not freeze or crash. There's also a well-drawn help file that you can check out. We recommend Anewsoft Video Converter with reservations.
