Disk Recon is a feature-rich software application designed to help you view useful information on your disk space, such as the largest files, and take better care of your HDD.

After a rapid and uneventful setup procedure that doesn't require special attention from the user, you can check out the user-friendly interface, consisted of a single window with numerous tabs. Disk Recon may look cluttered at a first glance, but it's actually pretty simple to work with it.

You can specify a folder or volume to scan, input file filters and containing words, as well as enable case sensitive and regular expression mode.

More filters can be configured when it comes to the date (modified, accessed, or created), size and attributes. Plus, you can include subfolders and search the results.

Disk Recon shows you the folder sizes data and a chart, along with drive usage details and the largest files on the disk. It lets you locate and remove duplicate files to free up space, rename multiple files at once, use the real drive cluster size, as well as generate reports and export them to XLS, HTML, TXT, CSV or XML.

The program requires a low quantity of CPU and RAM, has a good response time to commands, performs a scan job swiftly, and works smoothly. No error dialogs have been shown in our tests, and the utility did not hang or crash. There is also a help file available for less experienced users. Unfortunately, Disk Recon has not been updated for a while.
