DupliScan is an efficient and reliable software solution developed to provide you with the means of quickly determining whether you are storing copies of your files in multiple folders on your computer and decide how to dispose of them, so they no longer clutter your PC.

The application features a clean and accessible user interface, its main window allowing you to easily load the source directories and commence the detection operation.

The tabbed appearance enables you to easily switch between ‘Locations’, ‘Targets’ and ‘Results’, while from the ‘File’ menu of DupliScan, you can adjust its configuration or save the findings to a file.

For starters, you will need to define the search ‘Locations’, which can be local, removable or network drives. Multiple directories can be indicated, but this will also lead to a lengthier process, due to the high number of items to be analyzed. Documents can be compared according to name or contents, a preference which can be adjusted from the 'Settings' section.

At this point, you can very well click the ‘Start’ button in the program’s ribbon and the search will begin, displaying a progress bar in a dedicated window, while also enumerating the results, as they come up, in the eponymous tab.

However, you have the possibility of defining a ‘Target’, which DupliScan will use as a reference in the analysis, looking only for copies of this specific file in the indicated directory. Once completed, you can choose how to get rid of redundant documents, by moving or deleting them.

Moreover, DupliScan allows you to create symlinks or hard links for certain duplicate entries, making them easy to find when you need to work with them, without them occupying space on your PC.

All in all, DupliScan proves to be a handy and user-friendly utility that you can rely on for discovering all copies of specific documents on your computer, removing them with minimal effort in order to save up disk space.
