DVD Ripper Plus is an application designed to help you convert DVDs to the AVI or MPG format. It can be used by individuals of any experience level.

The interface of the program is plain and simple to work with. DVDs can be imported into the list by using either the treeview or dropdown menu (the "drag and drop" method is not supported). Batch processing is not allowed.

In the queue you can check out the source, length, output destination and file type, along with the size of the DVD and its chapters. So, all you have to do is establish the output destination and file type, in order to start the encoding job.

Furthermore, you can configure audio and video settings when it comes to the resolution, bit rate, aspect ratio, volume, and others.

But you can also select individual DVD chapters for processing, along with the audio track and subtitle stream, split clips by size or time, enable DVD Ripper Plus to automatically overwrite existing files and to automatically turn off the computer after conversion, and others.

The DVD ripping software takes up a moderate-to-high amount of system resources, quickly finishes a task and didn't freeze, crash or pop up errors during our testing. There's also a step-by-step guide with snapshots available. The image quality is preserved at a fair level but DVD Ripper Plus didn't manage to convert the audio stream in several cases during our tests. Plus, the interface needs some major improvements, since it's outdated. We recommend this tool with reservations.
