Ease Video Converter is an approachable program with advanced settings that enables you to convert various video files into AVI, MPEG, WMV and RM format. It's geared toward all types of users and supports AVI, MPG, MPEG, WMV, ASF, ASX, MOV, DAT and QT for the input formats.

After a fast and uneventful setup operation, you're welcomed by a user-friendly interface represented by a normal window with a well-structured layout, where you can populate the task list with as many videos as you want, thanks to the fact that batch processing is supported.

You can check out the name, format, resolution, duration and status of each file, as well as specify the output directory and extension to convert the items. Clips can be previewed in a small, built-in media player.

As far as encoding options are concerned, you can either preserve the original width and height or change the resolution, and disable the audio or video stream.

Ease Video Converter enables you configure settings separately when it comes to AVI (audio format, channel mode, bit rate and frequency, video frame rate and AVI codec), MPEG (MPEG1 or MPEG2, audio channel mode, bit rate and frequency, video frame rate and bit rate), WMV (video format) and RM (video format). Settings can be restored to default.

It didn't put a strain on the computer's performance in our tests, thanks to the fact that it required a low amount of CPU and RAM to work properly. No error dialogs popped up and it didn't hang or crash. Tasks were carried out fast.

On the other hand, Ease Video Converter hasn't received updates for a long time, so you may encounter compatibility issues on newer Windows editions. Nevertheless, you can test it for yourself.
