emlOpenView is a simple-to-use program that enables you to view messages supported by Microsoft Outlook, namely files with the EML format. Its features can be seamlessly figured out.

The interface of the tool is familiar. Thanks to the Explorer-based folder structure, you can easily navigate directories to locate and view the content of EML files. However, the options are not displayed intuitively.

You can use a search function, enable filters, save content as PDFs or images (e.g. JPG, GIF, PNG,TIFF, BMP), export Rich Text format (RTF), as well as print text.

Furthermore, it is possible to disasble the quick menu toolbar and Explorer panes, integrate emlOpenView into the Explorer context menu, save the settings to file for further projects, as well as associate the tool with the MSG and EML file types.

A few settings can be made from the Preferences panel. For instance, you can make emlOpenView automatically remember options between sessions, remember the last selected folder and pre-read the header information on all mail, print the file name ID in the footer, as well as print in portrait mode after setting margins.

The software utility uses a pretty high amount of CPU and system memory, has a good response time and works well, without causing the OS to hang, crash or pop up error dialogs. On the other hand, emlOpenView has not been updated for a while.
