Leawo Blu-ray Ripper is a feature-rich application designed to rip DVD and Blu-ray movies, in order to turn them into other formats, such as MP4, AVI, MOV, WEBM, VOB, MPG and MKV.

It is also capable of preparing clips for iPod, iPhone, PSP and HD video, among others, as well as to extract the audio stream and save it to AAC, AC3, AMR, OGG, MP3, WAV, and so on.

The interface is pleasant, thanks to the clean and intuitive structure. Once you have loaded DVD or BD files from a folder (disc, mounted drive, or HDD), you can view the original and default trimmed length, estimated size, output format and 3D mode for each item.

Before configuring output settings, you can preview clips in a small, built-in media player and capture frames, merge multiple items, trim the video by marking the start and end time or position, crop it (e.g. black borders), edit image properties when it comes to the brightness, contrast, saturation, and volume zoom, as well as apply image or text watermarks.

Viewing media information in regard to source and output properties is also possible. As far as target audio and video settings are concerned, you can select the codec, quality, size, bit rate, frame rate, aspect ratio, sample rate, and channel mode, or disable either the audio or video stream. Leawo Blu-ray Ripper enables users to create new output profiles as well, choose the number of CPU cores to use during conversion, use proxies, and others.

The program runs on moderate RAM and low CPU. It is very responsive to commands and carries out a conversion task rapidly, delivering quality clips. No error dialogs were shown in our testing, and the app did not hang or crash.

Thanks to its resourceful options and customization settings, as well as general ease of use, Leawo Blu-ray Ripper should please anyone looking to perform video conversion jobs.
