Photo to Movie is a program with a pretty self-explanatory name - it allows you to transform images (e.g. JPG, BMP, PNG) into video clips (MOV, DV stream, iPod, MPEG-4, YouTube, WMV, AVI).

The tool is packed in a clean interface with an intuitive layout. Adding photos can be done with the help of the file browser or 'drag and drop' function. It is possible to import multiple items at the same time.

On the bottom side of the frame you can view how the images fit the timeline and arrange or replace them. Photo adjustments can be made in regard to the title, aspect ratio and adaptive blur.

Photo to Movie also lets you apply some effects to the pictures; these include brightness, contrast, blur, border, jitter, monochrome, pixelate and shadow.

When it comes to motion, you can adjust the duration, 'before' and 'after' pause, along with the fade levels. Plus, you can use motion templates (e.g. zoom and pan, random choice) and transitions (e.g. crossfade, blinds, door); they are fully configurable.

Furthermore, you can insert a text or image overlay, add key frames and blank images, apply an audio track and fit the photos to it, as well as preview the movie in full screen mode. Once the project is done, you can specify the output video format and specify the movie size. Photo to Movie can be set to open the output directory when the task is done.

The application quickly creates a movie while using a high amount of system resources. It has a good response time, includes a help file and delivers videos with a good image and sound quality. We have not come across any issues during our tests. First-time users may take some while to get adjusted to the features provided by Photo to Movie.
