PureSync Personal is a software application designed for file and folder synchronization and backup. Thanks to its intuitive interface and options, it's geared toward users of any skill level, whether they are beginners or advanced.

It's wrapped in a professional-looking interface with a well-structured layout, where you can start a new synchronization job in a simple wizard.

For data sync, you can select the source and output destination (even from remote computers), include or exclude subfolders, as well as exclude any items from the job.

Some predefined locations from the computer are listed for quick selection, such as My Documents, templates, the desktop, and Microsoft Office files.

PureSync can be asked to automatically synchronize files and folders when a device is connected or a folder is found, when a file has been modified or scheduled, when the computer has been idle for several seconds, at startup, logon, logoff or shutdown, or when a specific application closes.

It's also possible to set up a post-synchronization action to automatically execute, such as launching a program, powering off the computer, closing the status windows, or opening the copied files in an Explorer window.

Creating a backup job is similar to the synchronization task. There are two backup types available: normal and mirror mode, and the second one deletes all files and folders from the destination directory which are not also present in the source. You can specify the number of backups you want to keep, as well as compress or encrypt them to prevent the access of unauthorized users.

Furthermore, the software app lets you copy photographs from a digital camera to the computer, and transfer files between computers. Actions can be undone and it's also possible to toggle the layout mode between compact and advanced, according to your level of experience.

PureSync Personal supports Windows Explorer shell integration and multiple languages for the UI. It had a good response time, swiftly finished backup and synchronization jobs, and used a moderate quantity of CPU and system memory in our tests. We haven't experienced any difficulties, since the program did not hang, crash or prompt error dialogs.

Taking into account its approachable interface along with standard and advanced settings reserved for all types of users, PureSync Personal should have everything you're looking for in a straightforward synchronization and backup tool.
